Event Overview

To help us celebrate our tenth anniversary, we welcome our friends from Unibroue in Montreal, Quebec who will partner with Executive Chef Ken Stout at The Penn Stater to host our first annual gourmet beer dinner.  Please consider joining us Thusday July 26th at 7PM for a truly epicurian food and beverage experience.  We hope this event will become yet another State College BrewExpo tradition. 

Reservations for the event can be made by calling The Gardens Restaurant at 814-863-5090 or by stopping by the restaurant in person.  All seats will be sold in advance at $60 each.  This price includes the reception beforehand (featuring Don de Dieu and butlered hors d’oeuvres) as well as the five-course, beer-paired meal.  Registration and the reception will begin at 6:00pm in Legends Pub (located next to The Gardens Restaurant) and will run until 6:45pm.  The doors to the dinner will open at 6:45pm and the first course will begin at 7pm. In addition to the dining experience, each guest will be given a souvenir Unibroue glass to take with them at the end of the evening.

Reception:  Don de Dieu, Chef's butlered hors d’ouevres

First Course:  Ephemere Apple, Roasted Onion Consommé, Apple and Onion Flan

Second Course:  La Fin du Monde, Organic Asparagus wrapped in Gravad Laks with Creamed Spinach and Caviar

Third Course:  Chambly Noire, Pecan Wood Roasted Certified Angus Strip Loin of Beef with Dauphinoise Potato and Seasonal Vegetables

Fourth Course:  Blanche de Chambly, Mesclun Greens with Heirloom Tomatoes and Goat Cheese Gateau, White Balsamic Vinaigrette

Fifth Course:  Trois Pistoles, Chocolate and Macadamia Bread Pudding with Mango Crème Anglaise
