About the Expo

“Drink Less, Drink the Best” is the motto of the State College MicroBrewers and Importers Exposition. We focus on quality, not quantity; we promote beer appreciation, not alcohol consumption. We welcome those who are interested in sampling very high quality beverages in a safe environment. Our patrons do not try to nor do we permit them to overindulge. We encourage you to safely monitor your intake in a fun, friendly, educational setting while pairing great beer with great food. Individual responsibility is the key to a successful event. We partner with Pennsylvania State University Police Services to insure the safety of our customers and the community.

The 11th Annual State College MicroBrewers & Importers Exposition will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the elegant Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel on the beautiful campus of Penn State University. The State College BrewExpo has rapidly become a summer tradition for beer lovers and Penn State alumni from all over the East coast.

Breweries, Beers, BrewForum & Brewtique

BrewExpo 2008 will feature over 60 breweries and specialty importers serving over 150 of the finest craft-brewed beers from North America, Belgium, Germany, Eastern Europe and the British Isles. Highlights of the exposition will include the Gourmet International Buffet, People’s Choice Gold Medal Competition, Brewzeum exhibits, BrewForum interactive tasting seminars for beer lovers from beginners to connoisseurs and our new “Brewtique” offering beer-related apparel and merchandise.

The unparalleled lineup of craft brewers and importers makes the State College MicroBrewers and Importers Exposition a premier beer tasting event. Specialty importers will be serving some of the world's finest beers, such as Chimay, Duvel, Unibroue, Samuel Smith, Ayinger, Westmalle, Paulaner, Affligem, Orval, Lindeman’s, Höegaarden, Spaten, Youngs, Franziskaner, Okocim and more.
